I am HCPC registered Occupational Therapist & Advanced Sensory Integration Practitioner, experienced in working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
My experience to date includes working with children & young people with neurodevelopmental conditions including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Dyspraxia/ Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD).
My mission is to make a difference to the lives of children and young people by helping individuals learn, play and socialise to the best of their ability. I aim to do this by working directly in schools and colleges with children & young people to support them in accessing what they need & want to be able to do.
Through engaging children & young people in meaningful Occupational Therapy (using a Sensory Integration approach) and collaboratively working with families and school staff, I aim to enable children & young people to be as independent as possible.
Yes. Typically the SENDCo/ parents/ guardians provides me with the details of the specified OT/SI within the EHCP. I provide a quote to the Local Authority and the panel confirms whether they are happy to fund this provision.
Currently I work in schools & colleges across Cambridgeshire (and surrounding areas such as Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire & Suffolk) to offer in-person assessments & treatment sessions. I also offer virtual assessment options.
