I am an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist & Advanced Sensory Integration Practitioner, experienced in working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
I specialise in working with children & young people with neurodevelopmental conditions including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Dyspraxia/ Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD).
I offer a range of play-based Occupational Therapy (OT) and Sensory Integration (SI) assessments and treatment options.
My mission is to enable children and young people to be as independent as possible in their abilities to play, learn and socialise!
Occupational Therapy (OT) focuses on enhancing an individuals ability to engage in activities which they find meaningful. Occupational Therapists (OT's) work within a range of settings to support individuals with varying needs. I support children & teenagers where dysregulated behaviours may be impacting upon the ability to learn, play & socialise.
I work alongside parents and education staff to provide practical strategies and techniques, to help children & young people join in to their fullest.
Sensory Integration (SI) supports individuals with sensory based challenges which are impacting upon performance. Sensory Integration intervention/ therapy involves structured exposure to sensory input, movement therapy, balance treatments and physical activities.
I provide Sensory Integration based intervention, where an underlying sensory need may be impacting upon everyday activities. I support children with sensory modulation challenges (being under or over responsive to sensory stimuli) and dyspraxia (difficulties with motor planning & execution, impacting upon coordination).
